Updated: Jun 10

How can an Ivriyah be prepared

In a world with uncertainties, the concept of preparedness finds resonance across various life circumstances. While modern strategies for readiness often involve precise planning, stockpiling resources, or acquiring specialized skills, the origin of preparedness can be traced back to ancient wisdom, notably found in the Bible. The wisdom gleaned from the pages of scripture transcends time and context, offering invaluable insights into the art of biblical preparedness.

These verses emphasize the importance of being prepared:

Proverbs 21:31 (KJV): "The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord."
Proverbs 6:6-8 (KJV): "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest."
Proverbs 27:12 (KJV): "A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished."
Luke 12:47 (KJV): "And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes."
Matthew 24:44 (KJV): "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."
Proverbs 30:25 (KJV): "The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer."
Proverbs 24:27 (KJV): "Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house."
